About Us

A Second Chance rescue are a small dog rescue based in the Cambridgeshire area, run solely by the hard work of volunteers.

Most of the dogs in their care are either surrendered by their owners, or are pulled from  the many pounds across the UK where they have either been found straying or have sadly been dumped.

A Second Chance Rescue are a non profit organisation run completely by volunteers who give up their time to help dogs in need. All money raised goes direct to saving more dogs and their care.
Where possible the dogs are placed in foster homes soon after arriving and are assessed prior to homing. Sometimes it is necessary for dogs to be boarded until a foster or forever home is found and this costs the rescue roughly £40 a week, per dog!

A Second Chance Rescue aim to rescue and rehome as many dogs as possible, but they cannot do this without the dedication of foresters and volunteers, working tirelessly to help the dogs and raise vital funds.
