About Information

Mayhew is an animal welfare charity working to improve life for cats, dogs and the people in our community – at our home in London and internationally.

Mayhew has been dedicated to helping dogs, cats and communities in need since 1886, with Animal Welfare Officers, a Rescue and Rehoming Centre in North West London, on-site Community Vet Clinic, animal therapy programme and an international presence. Our Animal Welfare Officers work in the community to educate on animal welfare and prevent welfare issues arising in the first place. Our community work addresses the grass root causes of animal neglect, cruelty and overpopulation. Their work extends to help pets and their owners in society who are vulnerable, elderly, sick or facing a personal crisis. We do everything we can to give practical help to keep pets at home with their owners.
