Brighton Retired Greyhound Trust rescue and rehome retired greyhounds

The 'Brighton Greyhound Owners Association - Retired Greyhound Trust' is a registered independent charity, working alongside the national Retired Greyhound Trust (RGT) and other local welfare organisations to ensure as many greyhounds as possible have a happy retirement! The Trust is over thirty-five years old and was one of the first branches of the national RGT.

A great many racing owners will take their greyhounds home when they retire from the Hove Greyhound Track, but when this is not possible they need somewhere to go, and this is when the Brighton Greyhound Trust steps in. From humble roots homing dogs straight from racing kennels, they now have their our own re-homing centre in Twineham, with sixteen double kennels, that can hold thirty dogs for homing, and two fields for walks and play.

"We have a greyhound to suit everyone, from youngsters who have not made the grade, through to the typical retirement age of around four years, and even to more mature hounds."

The team at the Brighton Retired Greyhound Trust spend a huge amount of time raising awareness, and matching the right greyhound with the right family, dependant on lifestyle. If you think you could help, donate or even give a greyhound a loving home, then get in touch with the trust today.
