About Animal Rescue Cumbria (The Wainwright Shelter) CIO
Animal Rescue Cumbria is an independent charity first registered in 1974. We take in and care for dogs and cats until suitable new homes can be found. Animal Rescue Cumbria is staffed by a small team of able and dedicated professional carers, who are supplemented by equally dedicated volunteers. Wherever possible they find suitable new homes for stray abandoned and surrendered animals.

Thinking of adopting?
The animals waiting for a home, opening times, contact details and how adoption works all change often. Check them on the organisation’s own website before you visit.
