Yes. Our team reviews every advert before it goes live, and adverts that break our rules are removed. A review is not a guarantee about the animal or the seller, so ask questions and see the pet in person.
Do I pay Mypetzilla for the pet?
No. You pay the seller directly; Mypetzilla never handles the money for a pet and does not hold deposits. Searching and messaging sellers is free.
How can I buy a pet safely?
See the pet in person before you pay anything, including a deposit, and see puppies and kittens with their mother. Keep the conversation on Mypetzilla, and walk away from anyone who pressures you to pay quickly.
How do I contact the person advertising?
Send a message from the advert. You need a free account to send one. Phone numbers and email addresses are never shown on adverts, and adverts give a town or postcode district, never a home address.
What do “Private seller”, “Licensed breeder” and the other labels mean?
Every advert says who is selling: a private seller, licensed breeder, licensed business, rescue or rehoming centre, or business seller. “Licensed” means the seller has given us their council licence details; “licence checked” appears only once our team has checked that licence. Can I read reviews of a breeder?
Buyers can review a licensed breeder they have bought from, and our team checks each review before it is published. How reviews work.
What does “Reserved” mean?
The advertiser is holding the pet for someone. The advert stays visible and you can still send a message in case plans change.
Why are some adverts labelled Featured?
Advertisers pay for a Featured place above the other results. Featured adverts are always labelled and go through the same review as every other advert.
How do I report an advert?
Use “Report this advert” on the advert page. You do not need an account, and every report goes to our team.
Can I be told when new pets are advertised?
Yes. Create a search alert from any results page and we will email you new matching adverts, daily or weekly. You need a free account.
