About Information

"RSPCA Ceredigion Branch rehomes cats from the Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire areas of Wales. We re-home pet cats, outdoor cats and ferals of all ages. All cats are usually vaccinated, microchipped and neutered when homed. We carry out a home visit to meet prospective new owners, and ask for a donation to help towards the veterinary and feeding costs incurred while the cats are in our care. Cats are looked after by skilled, caring fosterers. If a cat is too young to have been neutered we require that this is arranged by the new owner at around 6 months. Help with vet bills is given to those on means-tested benefits and in emergencies at the branch's discretion.

Home visits are made to discuss concerns such as settling a new cat in with young children and existing pets; traffic dangers; etc. We try to match cats to new owners but will take them back if arrangements do not work out or the owners' situation changes."
