Lina's Cat Rescue are based in the East Midlands, primarily in Derby, Nottingham and Chesterfield. They are a small, self-funded rescue with the aim of preventing and relieving the suffering of all cats, and rescuing and rehoming cats and kittens.
All the cats that come to Lina's Cat Rescue are temporarily homed in family foster homes. They have the belief that cats are better assessed in a home environment and this also allows them to enjoy a more enriching life whilst in rescue care. Lina's Cat Rescue also has a purpose built, heated cattery which they use for emergencies whilst waiting for a suitable foster space to open.
Lina's cat rescue work to advance the welfare of cats through education, information and advice available to the general public; and to promote and encourage the neutering of all healthy, able bodied cats once they come of age.
They accept disabled and FIV+ cats, and the centre has a no-kill policy. They ensure all cats are neutered, micro-chipped, and have a clean bill of health before being rehomed, and in return they ask that the adoption donation covers the costs that have incurred. By adopting from Lina's Cat Rescue lifetime support and rescue backup is provided for every cat that is adopted, and should the new owners circumstances change the rescue centre ask that the cat is returned to them for rehoming.
