In any year the centre will re home around 500 dogs and many other animals and birds as varied as the pets people keep.
There is also an aviary where many wild birds are nursed back to health and which is a great attraction for visiting children.
All of this is done without any grants or financial assistance other than their own fund raising efforts and the generosity of the animal loving public.
The Centre is recognised as a training facility and often has students from various organisations and countries who help to train the many dogs before they go to new homes.
As well as the re homing aspect the centre also has a high quality cat boarding establishment in a lovely secluded orchard where a thermally insulated building with outside runs attached is provided.
Various advanced health treatments are available.
